Bow Bag
Inspired by an Etsy store here. Just can't afford to drop that kind of dough on a purse!
Materials:
Blue Canvas about 2 yards
Pink cotton liner about 1 1/2 yards
Heavy duty non-fusible Interfacing
Magnetic clasp
Up-cycled belt parts
Basically I just looked at my inspiration for a while, wrote down the measurements of the finished bag and went from there. I always like to write down the dimensions of each piece with the seam allowance first, then I write down the order that I need to sew them together, noting when I need to place the clasps etc. That way when I start to sew I don't get wrapped up in the moment and do something silly...
Interchangeable Door Wreath
I like the idea of a wreath for every season...but I don't want to store lots of wreaths in my garage. So I decided to make an interchangeable wreath. This way I can just store the decorations on the wreath, or make new ones every year since felt is cheep, fun and easy to work with.
Materials:
foam wreath
white yarn
felt
felt glue
paperclips
What I did:
Wrap the foam wreath in white yarn.
Cut out flowers from felt and glue together.
Place on wreath with paperclips used as skewers (shoved through the felt flowers and all the way through the foam wreath).
DONE!

A Family of Scarves
A family of scarves for my Alaskan family.
Pattern for Charlotte's and Auntie Mingo's scarves here.
Pattern for Uncle Joel's scarf here.
Easy Peasy Hoodie scarf for Mother-in-law pattern:
With worsted weight yarn chain 200, dc in 3rd chain from hook and turn.
dc in each chain until desired thickness is reached (10-15 rows is good).
Fold scarf in half to find center. Pick up and dc the center 16 inches of the scarf (this is the start of your hood).
Continue to dc until the hood is the length you need to reach the top of your head.
Whip stitch the top of the hood closed.

It's Raining in Here Baby Mobile
To crochet is to create tangible tender loving care. At least most of the time.
For the sun:
Crochet a sphere (see here) in yellow, place safety eyes at your preferred location before the ball gets too small. Surface crochet in orange all around the head and then join and use round three of this sun pattern here.
For the Rain Cloud:
I modified this pattern to make it a little larger.
For the Rain Drops:
I followed this pattern.
Embroider faces as you see fit. Attach together with fishing line. And tada!
Baby Curtains
Fabulous vintage fabric that my mom used in my baby room is now hanging on my daughters windows! Special special special!
