Bow Bag

Inspired by an Etsy store here. Just can't afford to drop that kind of dough on a purse!
Materials:
Blue Canvas about 2 yards
Pink cotton liner about 1 1/2 yards
Heavy duty non-fusible Interfacing
Magnetic clasp
Up-cycled belt parts

Basically I just looked at my inspiration for a while, wrote down the measurements of the finished bag and went from there. I always like to write down the dimensions of each piece with the seam allowance first, then I write down the order that I need to sew them together, noting when I need to place the clasps etc. That way when I start to sew I don't get wrapped up in the moment and do something silly...

Interchangeable Door Wreath

I like the idea of a wreath for every season...but I don't want to store lots of wreaths in my garage. So I decided to make an interchangeable wreath.  This way I can just store the decorations on the wreath, or make new ones every year since felt is cheep, fun and easy to work with.

Materials:
foam wreath
white yarn
felt
felt glue
paperclips

What I did:
Wrap the foam wreath in white yarn.
Cut out flowers from felt and glue together.
Place on wreath with paperclips used as skewers (shoved through the felt flowers and all the way through the foam wreath).
DONE!
